The Royal Welsh Show 2011

Well behaved dogs are permitted, requests to bring a dog to this site must be made in writing at least one month prior to arrival they must be kept on a lead at all times and walked only in the designated area.

The Penmaenau Club House Entertainments are always very popular, but we do restrict entrance to those staying on the Penmaenau Caravan and Camping Site.

Cars

In the interests of security no vehicles are allowed in or out of the site between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am.
Additional cars are allowed (fee payable).

 

We are at present undertaking installing a new pump system and water storage tanks, to alleviate the problems that can occur with the Showers and Toilets when the huge demand for water in the Builth Wells area during the show results in a water pressure drop. We are also building a new bar and improving catering facilities.

 

How Far From the Royal Welsh Showground?

The site is seventy five yards away form the Royal Welsh Showground and has the added bonus of having no main roads to cross to the showground - no road at all, in fact!

On site we do have inflatable’s and amusements for children!

Nearby Amenities

The site is also within easy walking distance of Builth Wells town centre. Attractions on offer there include: Pubs and various Restaurants, Wyeside Arts Centre and Cinema, and a leisure centre with swimming, squash etc. We are surrounded by unspoilt countryside, which is ideal for leisure and sporting activities such as walking, trekking, mountain biking, canoeing or fishing on the River Wye, or golfing on the beautifully maintained local golf course.

Health and Safety

Penmaenau Events Ltd is keen to provide safe facilities for all to enjoy in a good, clean and safe environment. It is in the interests of everyone that we all pay strict attention to Health and Safety issues and, of course, it is a legal requirement for any site operator. We ensure that there is a qualified first aider permanently on site and ask visitors to be mindful of everyone's safety.

Penmaenau Caravan Park provides caravan and tent camping for the Royal Welsh Agricultural Showground in Builth Wells. We have many years of experience in providing high quality facilities which include, visitor and traders car parking, dedicated tent and caravan sites and separate provision for families. Our 'Young Persons' camping area is very popular with visitors who like to socialise later into the evenings.

Show Week Entertainment @ Penamaenau

  • Paul Dark is back by popular demand and will be your compare come entertainer each night of the week!!
  • Sunday Paul Dark kicks off the night with Welsh band "Huel a Porth" and concludes with "Jalapenos" who are also back by popular demand!
  • Monday a Parcel of Rogues, an energetic five-piece Folk Rock band playing traditional and contemporary music from Britain and America.
  • Tuesday night an outstanding group,  “The Lone Wolves” The cream of Mid Wales' musicians will keep you singing and dancing all night.
  • Wednesday a duo by the name of "Blue Moon", Paul Dark will then help you rap up the evening!
  • Don't forget there throughout the week there will be a Disco, be there!
